Our Healthy Beginnings Program provides case management, social services and education in English and Spanish for expectant women and their families during the prenatal and post partum periods. Care is provided by a staff nurse, bi-lingual social worker and several area OB/GYN providers.

This program has produced excellent outcomes including:

• Patients kept 90-100% of their prenatal appointments.
• Ninety percent of the births have been term deliveries, a significantly higher percentage than the 40% national average for high-risk patient populations, per CDC statistics.
• At least 90% of all newborns were evaluated by a pediatric provider within two weeks of birth.
• Approximately 86% of our mothers were breastfeeding their infants at two weeks, compared to a national average of 74%.
